I know if we change the stock exhaust, we will void the warranty, but I did hear some say we can use the Dinan exhaust and still leave the warranty intact. Is this true?

From what I hear, Dinan still voids the bmw warranty. Thay just place over top a warranty of their own on the part that matches bmw. Say, if u put a dinan xhaust on, bmw will not warranty the xhaust if it dies at 20000 miles but dinan will. Believe thats how johann xplained it.

thanks. so bmw only voids the warranty on the exhaust? I thought it would void all engine parts warranties? Slap me if I'm a fool for thinking this. Because I remember some manufactorers (not gonna point fingers) voided warranty on entire electrical system of the car when after market alarm, fog lights, or car audio is put into the car.

Thay cannot void warranty on everything. Only the part you replaced. BUT, if your header blew and thay investigated it and found your aftermarket exhaust to be the problem then thay will viod the warranty on the header too. Its a LAW that thay cannot void warranty on entire car and i HAVE read it somewhere. Even been told so by the owner of a dealer. Sure thay will push you but in court thay wont win. =)
